The aim of the South Gosforth Residents' Association is to promote the benefit of the public of South Gosforth by the enhancement of the local environment therein, in particular but not exclusively by the provision, maintenance and improvement of an area of open space for informal recreation, play and other leisure time pursuits with the object of improving their conditions of life.

The SGRA is a Registered Charity No. 1097323

We will not be meeting in August as we need a summer holiday!

Our September meeting is also our A. G. M and both the location and date are still to be decided.

Gosforth Colliery, mid 19th century. The pit closed in the 1920s and the Hunters Road/Ridgewood Estate was built on the site in 1938.
